About the Position: The Rogue River Basin Project is situated in beautiful southern Oregon, along the Rogue River approximately midway between Crater Lake National Park and the city of Medford, Oregon. The area offers a plethora of options for year-round outdoor recreation such as hiking, hunting, birdwatching, kayaking, snow sports, etc; landscapes such as the Cascade and Coastal Mountains Range areas and High Desert are short drives in all directions.

Specialized Experience - Qualified candidates will describe in their resume at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level in federal service with monitoring visitor activity and enforcing park rules and regulations. OR Education: Have completed the requirements for an undergraduate degree: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with twenty-four semester hours of related course work in natural resource management, natural sciences, earth sciences, history, archaeology, anthropology, park and recreation management, law enforcement/police science, social sciences, museum sciences, business administration, public administration, behavioral sciences, sociology, or other closely related subjects pertinent to the management and protection of natural and cultural resources. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of specialized experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education by 120. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Data Entry and Analysis Interpersonal Skills Natural Resource Management Oral Communication Teamwork Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-4).
Inspect and/or execute minor maintenance work on wide variety of recreational and environmental stewardship features
Ensure safety of public visitors, employees and contractors, and ensure adherence to 36 CFR 327.
Provide contracting support
Provide administrative support to the recreation and environmental stewardship program.
