Job Description:

You will serve as a Human Resources Assistant (Military) in the Naval Reserve Officers' Training Corps (NROTC) Units and Strategic Sealift Midshipman Program (SSMP) Units within the NSTC Domain of NROTC UNIV OF KANSAS or/and NROTC University of South Carolina.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintain filing systems of various records; 2) Enter data into automated database systems; 3) Review documents for completeness and compliance with established guidelines; 4) Utilize office automation equipment and software to prepare a variety of forms and correspondence. NOTE: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for the position. This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. You will provide examples, mapping out the steps, identifying the responsible staff member and ensuring the various actions are completed.
You will plan, develop and implement procedures for administrative data collection and advise Unit staff on correct procedures.
You will maintain all student records, files, and collect data required in administering all aspects of the program.
You will act as primary representative of the Commanding Officer in dealing with the host educational institution (university, college, institute, academy, etc.) any cross- town educational institutions, parents, and outside agencies.
