Job Description:

This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resilience and well-being of Soldiers and Families. All candidates MUST meet the following minimum qualifications: experience in planning and executing aquatic programs. (This experience may have been gained managing indoor or outdoor aquatic programs and facilities.), AND a Certification in Lifeguarding or Lifeguarding Instructor (MUST BE UPLOADED AT TIME OF APPLICATION), AND a First Aid Certification (MUST BE UPLOADED AT TIME OF APPLICATION), AND a CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent certification (MUST BE UPLOADED AT TIME OF APPLICATION). Assist manager in plans and coordination of details for reoccurring and nonrecurring aquatic, fitness, instructional, and joint community programs.
Assist manager in planning and establishing aquatic certification curriculum such as lifeguarding, lifeguard instructor, water safety instructor, fitness and recreational certification and educational programming.
Assists the aquatic manager with the APF and NAF budget for the assigned facilities and programs.
Interviews and selects such staff and provides them with required orientation, training and management in order to meet all activity needs, provides transition training to outstanding volunteers to permit theme to serve in new and different areas.
