Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must be physically fit and capable of working extended periods (up to 8 hours) of manual labor, including the capability of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Experience in maintaining a medium size warehouse/stockroom, including inventory tracking and accountability is desired. Current Commercial Driver's License (COL) certifying ability to drive a bus (up to 44 passenger) is required. COL must certify that employee is air brake and passenger endorsed. Must be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquires (NACI), State Criminal History Repository Check, Installation Records Check, CPR, First Aid, and positive guidance training. Must have the ability to operate motor vehicles in a safe manner. Must provide a copy of a safe driving record. Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. (IA W AFI 44-107 Dtd 7 April 2010) All driving must be done in a safe and responsible manner. Must comply with safety and traffic rules and regulations; operating the motor vehicle in a manner that minimizes violations due to employee error or negligence; avoiding discomfort and injury to passengers and vehicle damage; having no more than one minor traffic violation, and no major violations due to incumbent's error or negligence per rating cycle. Incumbent must maintain a current COL license enabling incumbent to legally operate a 44-passenger bus with air brakes, and a weight allowance of 27,000 lbs. Storeroom must be maintained IAW accepted stock room practices; more than two major (more than 10%) unexplainable variances between actual stock and stock records during a reporting period is unacceptable. All tasks assigned must be completed expeditiously and meet section standards; more than two instances of foiling to meet standards or of failing to complete an assigned task within the time allowed, per reporting period is unacceptable. Must provide accurate guidance and assistance in a courteous and professional manner. Interacts with co-workers, patrons, and supervisors in a courteous and professional manner, demonstrating an ability to work cooperatively with others. and demonstrating good customer services skills. Must achieve a satisfactory rating on all internal and external evaluations and inspections. Expected level of performance is discussed with incumbent at initial appointment, during mid-year reviews, and during annual performance evaluations. Position requires physical stamina and endurance, as manual labor is required. Must be able to lift and move objectsweighing up to 50 lbs. Uses various powered equipment such as blowers, weed eaters, edgers, and mowers (walk behind and small riding types). B. Incumbent must have clean driving record, current state Commercial Driver's License enabling incumbent to drive vehicles, described above, and be capable of maintaining a Commercial Driver's License enabling incumbent to drive a bus with airbrakes, up to 44 passengers, with weight allowance of 27,083 lbs. C. Must be able to obtain the following clearances: -State Criminal History Repository Checks -Installation Record Check -National Agency Check with Inquires (NACI) D. Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR and first aid certification. Must receive and maintain annual training in child abuseidentification, prevention, and reporting, and positive guidance. E. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. I.INTRODUCTION: a. The function of the Youth Center where this position is located is in official functional statements located in the HRO. b. The purpose of this position is to provide: 1.Inside and outside maintenance, its grounds, and designated areas. Empty trash daily. Blow off deck and playground. Remove all debris. 2.To operate motor vehicles (up to I 1/2 tons) sedans, station wagons, vans, (15 passenger) and buses with air brakes (up to 44 passenger) used in transporting patrons to and from Youth Center sponsored trips. Trips are normally with a50-mile radius from base. Normal driving will include transportation to and from local schools, some driving will exceed a 10-mile area. On occasion driving will consist of 500-mile trips. 3.A storeroom monitors to issue/receive equipment, inventory stock, order and obtain supplies as necessary. II.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: a. Vehicle Operator: Performs pre- and post-operation inspection of assigned vehicles. Adjust fluid and pressure levels as necessary. Provides driving services as scheduled. (40%) b. Facility and Grounds Maintenance: Performs maintenance, minor repairs, and adjustments to inside and outside of building such as replacing light bulbs, replacing safety switches, general daily cleaning, cleaning air conditioner ducts, setting up and taking down equipment, etc. (30%) c. Storeroom Monitor: Maintains a storeroom IA W accepted stockroom procedures. Issues and receives equipment and supplies as required. Inventories assets on a continuing basis. Maintains an adequate number of supplies on hand, such as light bulbs, safety switches, etc. (15%) d. Obtains equipment needed for special functions and assists in the set up and in the taking down. (10%) e. Performs other related duties as assigned. (5%) III.CONTROLS OVER WORK: Works primarily under the direction and supervision of the School Age Program Coordinator, who controls the assignment of work, provides assistance as required, reviews completed work, and evaluates performance, Assists Youth Center Director as needed.
