About the position: This position is Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Eagle Lanes Bowling Center on Dover Air Force Base. As a FLEX employee, you may work anywhere between 0-40 hours per week, on an as needed basis.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Practical knowledge of recreation activities, rules and procedures. Ability to safeguard and handle cash e.g., make change, count safe, till's, count the deposit and fill out proper paperwork. Skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities are desirable. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; recurring activities such as bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, and reaching; and recurring lifting of moderately heavy items. Must be able to frequently lift boxes of up to 50 pounds. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Must be able to complete a National Agency check with Inquiries (NACI).
Performs and or/assists other recreation assistants or specialist in the operation and maintenance of the bowling center. Types of duties include but are not limited to the following: Sets up recreation areas for scheduled activities; records attendance; takes reservations and payments; receives money and makes change; notifies participants of schedule changes; Complete all required paperwork at the end of each shift. Decorates Bowling Center for special events, activities, or parties. Post announcements of scheduled activities and answers inquiries about matters relating to the activity. Takes inventory of authorized supplies and equipment and helps with group activities which require more than one staff to monitor, performing specifically assigned tasks. Performs associated duties such as pro shop sales, shoe rental, lane assignments, if problems occur, notifies laborer of problem. Wipes tables, cleans areas around lanes and ensures building is secure. Maintains control of customers. Working alone without laborer on duty, is required to clear minor stops, e.g., placing a pin in the correct position and oiling lanes. Informs supervisor of equipment malfunctions as well as other items needing maintenance or repair as soon as possible. Restock front desk, and pro-shop as needed.
