Must be an advanced skier/snowboarder with the ability to teach others. Must have or be able to obtain current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED training certification within 6 months of hire. Highly Preferred: Candidates that possess highly preferred criteria and meet the minimum qualifications above will be referred to the hiring manager first. Criteria is verified within the application package. Possess knowledge in building and maintaining a snowboarding course.
Instructs groups and individuals in daily and weekly ski programs, using a variety of teaching methods to effectively communicate to students who have a wide range of abilities and backgrounds. Teaches children as well as adults.
Ensures proper safety procedures are followed at all times and that students learn in a safe environment.
Assists with program registration, equipment issue, ski lift, and cleaning duties.
May be involved in designing, building and maintaining the snowboarding course, by building jumps and installing rails, using hand tools.
Is responsible for ticket handling for groups of students and must maintain good internal control practices to keep track of these tickets.
