Three years¿ experience and working knowledge of a PC. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point. Verifiable experience in the performance of a variety of clerical duties, such as typing, filing, and record keeping. Must have excellent oral and written communications skills. Must have ability to deal with issues associated with military lifestyles and a willingness to learn. Incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45 lbs. independently and objects over 45 lbs. with assistance. Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule to include weekend and nighttime family briefs/programs.
Provides administrative and clerical support to Substance Abuse staff, including but not limited to, printing/assembling training materials and handouts, coordinating session rooms, and reconfirming class attendance. Operates a personal computer (PC) to produce a variety of correspondence and materials. Drafts, reviews and edits section correspondence for proper format, conformance to procedure, spelling, grammar, directives, and typographical accuracy. Reports to the SACC Director. Supports required data collection. Prepares reports and maintains data collection system and forms. Maintains a NAF Purchase Card and is responsible for correct purchasing, receiving and accounting of items procured. Prepares correspondence and directives from handwritten drafts or oral instructions in accordance with available guidelines and instructions by utilizing a PC. Maintains a data base tracking system to ensure statistical accountability for high echelon reports. Establishes and maintains office files, revises and disposes of files in accordance with governing procedures. Be familiar with military protocol while maintaining strict confidentiality of the customer. Reviews and evaluates supported commands¿ policies and organizational changes to ensure all program materials are current. Corresponds with supported commands concerning all program policies and SACC information. Ensure OPSEC and Privacy Act compliance. Customer inquiries may contain personal and confidential information that requires strict assessment and timely referral to appropriate resources (i.e. suicide risk, spouse/child abuse and other mandated reporting) Issues in the SACC are very sensitive in nature and require a highly restricted degree of confidentiality. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as assigned.
