Job Description:

You will serve as a LEAD POLICE OFFICER in the FORCE PROTECTION (N34) of SUBASE KINGS BAY SEC DET.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing law enforcement (LE), physical security (PS), antiterrorism (AT), and force protection (FP) functions; 2) Conducting preliminary and/or ongoing investigations of incidents; 3) Documenting law enforcement and security events and the issuance of citations; 4) Distributing workload to junior officers in accordance with priority and skill level. Completion of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Uniformed Police Training Program is a condition of continued employment. Employee will be required to sign a continuing service agreement prior to travel to the academy. Agreement to Continue in Service - CSA, Agency requires 36 month of continued employment after the completion of required training from the FLETC in accordance with Title 5 USC 4108 and 5 CFR410.309. Failure to voluntary complete length of employment requirement can subject employee to reimburse to the agency for fees, such as tuition and related fees, travel, and other special expenses (excluding salary) paid in connection with the training. You will perform anti-terrorism duties to deter, detect, or deny unauthorized access.
You will explain policies, goals, procedures, and regulations to assigned law enforcement personnel.
You will conduct random searches of vehicles to detect unauthorized removal of classified material, government property, contraband, weapons, or explosives.
You will identify security violators by using intrusion detection.
You will seize evidence for use in prosecuting crimes or violations.
You will write crime scene reports containing evidence and statements gathered.
