Job Description:

You will serve as a Supervisory Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Obsolescence Risk Management Branch (GXVQ); Trusted Microelectronics Division (GXV); Global Deterrence & Defense Department (GX) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. You will serve as Branch Manager. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. NT-05 is equivalent to GS-13/14.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector conducting obsolescence risk management functions to manage the supply of components or materials for the life cycle of assigned technical programs or equipment. You will serve as Branch Manager of the Obsolescence Risk Management Branch, supervising numerous employees, and will be responsible for the actions and functions for the Branch.
You will provide comprehensive, proactive Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Sources (DMSMS) and strategic risk management services across Navy, DoD, and NATO programs.
You will apply obsolescence management tools to support microelectronic technologies (e.g. active and passive devices) in meeting customer requirements.
You will be responsible for oversight of the Government Purchase Card program, ensuring proper purchase card use, and taking prompt and effective administrative and disciplinary corrective actions when warranted.
You will ensure adherence to compliance areas such as Safety, Environmental, and Security.
You will exercise a vital leadership role in the division, serving to bridge the functions of the organization with the larger purpose and vision of NSWC.
You will develop strategies and vision for the Branch to support programs/policies.
You will utilize internal controls, Human Resource Management, goal setting techniques and teambuilding to effectively manage the branch.
You will develop, mentor, and advise employees to aid in their professional growth.
