Job Description:
You will serve as a ENGINEER/SCIENTIST in the Spectrum Warfare Department (WX), Force Level EW Division (WXY), Mission Integration Branch (WXYP) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-14 and GS-15.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer or scientist analyzing system technology (e.g. electromagnetic warfare systems) to develop and integrate cyber solutions for the success of projects and program operations. You will lead the development and integration of cyber-focused models and simulations within the division's model-based engineering framework.
You will conduct comprehensive cybersecurity analyses and assessments of Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and architectures using model-based techniques.
You will identify potential vulnerabilities and risks and develop mitigation strategies to enhance system resilience.
You will evaluate emerging cyber technologies and methodologies for their applicability to EW systems and recommend integration strategies.
You will collaborate with other engineering disciplines, mission stakeholders, and external partners (e.g., academia, industry, government agencies) to share knowledge, leverage expertise, and foster innovation in cyber modeling and simulation.
You will provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers within the division on cyber modeling and simulation techniques, best practices, and emerging trends.
You will contribute to the development of cyber-related requirements for EW systems, ensuring that cybersecurity considerations are integrated throughout the system lifecycle.
You will develop and maintain technical documentation, reports, and presentations related to cyber modeling and simulation activities.
You will communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
