This vacancy is for an International Trade Compliance Analyst in the International Trade Administration within the Department of Commerce.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience need not have been in the federal government. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies; knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify at the GS-12 level: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Analysis and/or application of US Antidumping/Countervailing Duty (AD/CVD) laws; Independent coordination and/or administration of AD/CVD antidumping cases requiring in-depth knowledge of AD/CVD; and Give persuasive presentations and briefings to convey detailed information concerning a variety of complex analytical aspects of AD/CVD issues.
As a International Trade Compliance Analyst, you will perform the following duties: Analyze and evaluate AD/CVD data; conduct meetings, briefings and hearings. Prepares position papers related to AD/CVD cases. Enforce U.S. Trade Laws through the conduct of AD/CVD proceedings by performing quantitative analysis and research and make recommendations for the disposition of assignments; prepare questionnaires and supplemental questionnaires based on development. Coordinate with other operational offices within E&C and fully apprise these offices of case issues when conducting research and analyzing International Trade-related regulations and make recommendations.
