Job Description:

You will serve as a Financial Analyst in the Aviation Intermediate Maintenance Unit, Financial Resource Management Office ofFLTREADCEN WEST DET. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
FOR GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: utilizing automated financial management systems to analyze budgetary data and determine cost effective use of funds to provide recommendations in support of financial or budgetary programs. FOR GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: preparing funding documents and utilizing automated financial systems to monitor financial transactions for financial or budgetary programs. You will serve as a Financial Analyst in the installation’s financial management office, performing a variety of functions involving accounting, budget, and financial reporting.
You will monitor obligations and expenditures via automated systems (i.e., STARS, ATOS, DTS, DCPS, RSupply, EAGLS, PSA Website, WINSALTS, SLDCADA, FES).
You will provide financial support services, perform analysis of complex transactions, troubleshoot problems, and resolve problematic areas.
You will maintain and verify specialized ledgers, and/or automated system of accounting data.
You will prepare reports covering the status of funds, expenditures, and obligations.
You will serve as a source of information for a wide variety of appropriated and reimbursable funds to ensure the financial integrity, timeliness, accuracy and validity of supporting budget execution reports.
You will compare transactions entered in data systems or general ledger and verify mathematical accuracy.
