Job Description:

You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Ordnance Assurance and Safety Office (00SA) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $156,755).
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing inventory management operations (e.g. planning, shipping, transporting, receiving, storage, packing) to resolve issues ensuring material management or accountability related to ordnance inventory operations for improved material availability and weapons systems readiness. You will serve as Explosive Inventory Accuracy Officer responsible for the Ammunition and Explosive Inventory Management Program for the NSWC IHD Command.
You will be responsible for explosive inventory, shipping documents, explosive asset transactions, explosive transportation movements, receiving storage, packing, inventory control, causative research, and metrics.
You will conduct random inspections in various explosive storage locations and verify any inventory discrepancies.
You will ensure proper warehousing and receipt, segregation, storage and inventory (e.g. packing and crating, shipping and receiving, accommodation storage, disposal, receipt/issue and control) of explosives and explosive-related assets.
You will collaborate with the Commanding Officer and the Explosive Safety Officer to provide vital explosives information.
