About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation/ Rec Lodging Facility. This position works indoors/outdoor year-round, including weekends, evenings and Holidays Physical effort is medium to heavy lifting up to 50 pounds or heavier (with assistance) The position is Flexible with no minimum guaranteed hours (meaning work between 0-40 hrs per week depending on weather and facilities need) or standard benefits

Qualifying Experience: Must have experience which demonstrates knowledge of large complex riding mowers and similar types of specialized mowing equipment, skill in operating various controls and levers to maneuver equipment and lift, lower, adjust, engage and disengage components or attached devices. Skill in controlling and maneuvering large complex mowing equipment and ability to complete assignments involving several steps, phases or procedures. Follow written and/or oral instruction and able to relay/communicate to others clearly.
This position is to perform heavy laboring tasks which require significant manual skill and very heavy physical effort to operate equipment as necessary to Maintain the Outdoor Recreation/ Rec Lodging, Lakeside Community Center and Golf Course areas. May operate field-type tractors, heavy complex riding mowers with various complex controls and levers. Observes all safety regulations. Determines the right equipment for the job, maintains all equipment and reports any repairs to management. Completes all tasks assigned with little to no supervision. Uses a variety of hand tools and equipment to perform tasks. Loads/unloads bulky items, furniture and trash cans, debris from greens/park areas. Maintains vehicle logs. Uses a government computer to complete training requirements and time keeping. Performs other related duties as assigned.
