To qualify for a Business Process Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Knowledge and skill in applying and adapting analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to investigate, analyze, and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of activities within the process area and to development and implement corrective actions for complex process problems. Familiarity with systems applications governing automated supply management and data maintenance sufficient to recognize systemic problems, identify the source(s) of discrepancies, input, manipulate, extract, and maintain automated information using a variety of systems. Verbal communication skills to conduct briefings for management officials and to explain proposals and findings of studies to internal personnel and external personnel and customers. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
If selected at the GS-13, duties will be performed at a developmental capacity.
Identifies, develops, and manages process-specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), metrics, and other process performance critical data to ensure the process area is meeting its performance targets.
Provides enterprise-wide process improvement recommendations to top-level agency management briefings and for submittal to the Division Director or Process Owner(s).
Expert analyst and advisor to the Division Director or Process Owner(s) and other senior leaders on functional program/process improvement initiatives, and the development and implementation of policies and procedures for their process area.
Coordinates and responds to major Congressional, Government Accountability Office, or Inspector General investigations, audits, and inspections.
Analyzes and participates in development of DLA positions on legislative matters, as well as in the development of proposed legislation.
Establishes quantitative parameters for program/process execution, determines resource needs, evaluates impact of resources constraints, and recommends action for Process Owner approval.
