Job Description:

You will serve as a ASSISTANT DEFENSE TRAVEL SYSTEM (DTS) ADMINISTRATOR in the S-8 DIRECTORATE of MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII. This is a RE-ADVERTISEMENT of Announcement ST-12598055-25-KUP. Applicants that have previously applied NEED to re-apply to this announcement.
GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: responsible for help desk operations, resolution of travel issues, accuracy of travel database(s), tables and certifications, and sustainment training requirements. GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: understands a wide variety or rules, regulations, and procedures related to travel arrangements, tracking, training, and administering the travel card program for the command. You will coordinate development of traveler profiles, organizational data, reporting, budgetary, and document flow procedures in DTS.
You will ensure system requirements and activities necessary to achieve the objectives are identified, met and resolved, including all technical, administrative and/or operational problems and conflicts.
You will resolve systematic issues and/or problems involved in the software upgrades and connectivity, establishment of organizations, groups, routing list, and setup of user files.
You will maintain updates to DTS database when changes occur due to personnel actions within the main organization.
You will develop and formalize help desk policies, processes, and procedures.
You will coordinate with the DTS Finance Defense Travel Administrator (FDTA) to perform a variety of budgetary and administrative functions in implementing the organization's travel program, policies, and procedures.
