About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W453AA JOINT INTERAGENCY TASK FORCE SOUTH. This position serves as the Joint Operations Planner in the Office of the J5 Plans and Policy Directorate, Director for Plans and Policy.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience to the next lower grade (GG/GS-11) which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience preparing or assisting with the preparation of a Counterdrug/Counter Transnational Organized Crime (CD/CTCO) mission such as: planning operations and event activities, policies, and procedures; performing support functions in the detection, monitoring, or tracking of suspected drug trafficking events; and performing analysis of resource requirements. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communications Planning and Evaluating Technical Competence
Serve as a Joint Planner for DOD, Interagency, Allied, Participating Nations, and Country Team Counterdrug/Counter Transnational Organized Crime plans and policy.
Conduct joint and interagency planning to prepare concepts of operations, operations plans, campaign plans, and operation orders.
Prepare the design and staffing of myriad land, air, and maritime Counterdrug/ Counter Transnational Organized Crime plans.
Initiate and coordinate planning requirements for new technologies and agreements to include developing performance criteria and employment techniques.
Provide expert analysis and formulation of mid and long-range Counterdrug/Counter Transnational Organized Crime resource requirements.
