This National Guard position is for a INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1660000 and is part of the FL 125th FW, National Guard.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709", and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. Recruitment / Relocation: Incentive MAY be authorized. ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. MILITARY GRADES: Enlisted, E4 - E6 FLNG BUS Code 8888: This position is "excluded" and ineligible for labor organization representation. NOTES: Must obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance and be eligible for access to Special Compartmented Information (SCI). Required to fly in military or commercial aircraft. May be required to work uncommon tours on short notice. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training with administrative, professional, investigative, or technical work dealing effectively with others, to collect, evaluate and organize pertinent facts; experience preparing clear and concise written reports SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS11 Must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-09 level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience, education or training developing and recommending policy, organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of intelligence operations. Experience in administrative, investigative, or technical work which required the applicant to deal effectively with others. Experience collecting, evaluating and organizing pertinent facts and to analyze and prepare clear and concise reports.
As an Intelligence Operations Specialist, GS-0132-11, you will assist the Senior Intelligence Officer in assuring the Intelligence function maintains a capability to provide timely and accurate operational intelligence support and fully trained intelligence personnel during peacetime and contingency operations. Empowered to commit personnel and unit intelligence resources to missions and special exercises. Coordinate training requirements with Gaining Command Intelligence Section. Plan and develop objectives and work schedules for training assigned to intelligence personnel during Unit Training Assemblies (UTA), Annual Training (AT), and unit deployments. Assist in training and testing aircrew on worldwide threats that potentially could affect mission success. Develop scenarios for unit training missions. Perform assigned operational intelligence research and analysis. Manage the Intelligence Mobility Program to guarantee all unit personnel and equipment is properly prepared for worldwide tasking and deployments.
