You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Experience in the leadership, direction, and coordination of financial management activities; AND - Experience in accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, receivables and debt reporting, and internal control activities; AND - Experience in preparing and/or reviewing financial statements for federal agencies in accordance with OMB guidelines. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a nontemporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
This position is located at Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Assistant Administrator - Management CFO - Finance and Performance Budgeting Division. As a Financial Manager, you will: Examine financial and management reports, management controls, policies and practices affecting or reflecting the financial condition and operating results of TTB. Serve as the expert and advisor to the Assistant Administrator, Management/CFO, and senior management officials within the Administrator's Office on all TTB financial matters. Oversee work carried out through the budget branch including all budget formulation and execution for the bureau and manages funds control for all appropriations Oversee the work carried out by the Revenue Accounting Unit, including the disbursement of excise tax drawbacks, cover over payments, and funds control and reconciliation, system integrity and integration, and reporting.
