In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered.Your resume is the key means we have for evaluating your skills, knowledge, and abilities as they relate to this position. Therefore, we encourage you to be clear and specific when describing your experience. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving as a senior law enforcement instructor to provide classroom instruction on the practical use of law enforcement equipment and the application of techniques; 2) Developing course content in the instructional areas of security/law enforcement, evidence collection and preservation, terrorism, laws of arrest, search and seizure, basic criminology, accident investigations, etc.; 3) Maintaining training records to ensure personnel and organization meets certification/qualifications; and 4) Providing Firearms Safety, weapons training and qualifications in accordance with command instructions and policies. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will conduct law enforcement safety lectures to enforce safe work practices on the job site.
You will review and evaluate law enforcement staff actions for adherence to installation or training policies.
You will collaborate with training facilities (e.g., installation personnel, regional training academy staff) to supplement course instruction.
You will discuss with students the procedures required in law enforcement.
