Job Description:
You will serve as a General Engineer in the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Engineer providing technical leadership and project management across a broad range of engineering effort in support of in-service systems and technologies for weapons systems readiness. You will serve as a senior or lead engineer responsible for providing technical leadership.
You will oversee teams of professionals and guide critical engineering activities.
You will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
You will technically direct a small group of full performance professionals, junior professionals, and/or technical assistants.
You will plan, schedule, coordinate, and/or conduct projects.
You will perform a variety of mathematical or engineering analyses, computations, measurements or evaluations on assigned problems.
You will perform failure analysis studies to identify failure causes.
You will work with state-of-the-art equipment, weapons systems, or techniques.
