Job Description:
This position is part of the Office of Federal Energy Management Programs, Department of Energy. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will be responsible for directing engineering and Research & Development support services, federal energy policy development, program planning and scheduling, and implementation of the assigned programs.
BASIC REQUIREMENT: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following: Advise management on facility energy program directives; Monitor contractor laboratory performance; AND Participate in site visits to federal facilities to provide project and program reviews. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will: Develop goals and objectives and advise management of relevant policy directives. Direct the execution of programs through interaction with appropriate headquarters elements and DOE laboratories and contractors. Direct and oversee the preparation of technical reports, and other documentation required to support assigned projects and programs. Prepare scopes of work for obtaining contractor or laboratory assistance in carrying out the activities required to accomplish the goals and objectives of projects under your direction. Conduct periodic visits to federal facilities to provide on-site project or program reviews, and preparation of reports and related activities.
