Job Description:
This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Human Resources Division (HRD), Strategic Business Operations Section (HRO), Administrative Management Team (HROA). This position(s) primary purpose is to provide human capital management, process improvement, project coordination, and automation oversight and is involved in creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), driving initiatives, and coordinating operational execution across HR areas.

Applicants applying for the GS-12 must meet one of the following requirements: A. Have at least one full year of qualifying specialized experience that is at least equivalent in difficulty and complexity to work performed at the GS-11 grade level. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintaining records and submitting personnel actions; 2) Assisting with updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and administrative workflows; 3) Supporting process improvements and automation; and 4) Coordinating HR activities across teams. Applicants applying for the GS-13 must meet one of the following requirements: A. Have at least one full year of qualifying specialized experience that is at least equivalent in difficulty and complexity to work performed at the GS-12 grade level. As a Human Capital Coordinator, your typical work assignments may include: Updates templates, gathers data, and communicates requirements to managers and team leads. Assists with the preparation of division-wide updates related to human capital activities and may represent the section in status briefings and/or coordination calls. Assists in efforts to improve efficiency in HRD operations by contributing to process documentation and supporting the implementation of automation tools. Communicates effectively with HRD subcomponents and ensures timely completion of assigned work through collaboration with staff across the division. Provides support in aligning organizational charts and Table of Organization (T/O) data with current staffing actions under the guidance of senior staff.
