Job Description:

You will serve as a Readiness Analyst in the Fleet Warfare Assessment and Readiness Directorate (N9) of the staff of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as an analyst compiling and presenting military readiness data from automated reporting systems and applications (e.g., Defense Readiness Reporting System-Navy, Threat Response Management System, Ordinance Information System) to make recommendations for the improvement of warfighting readiness and effectiveness. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will develop, build and present readiness reporting products and briefings which compile and display Joint Force Maritime Component readiness levels with respect to specific Joint Capability Areas for Operations Plan (OPLAN) execution.
You will gain expert knowledge of the naval, theater and national intelligence communities and their capabilities and limitations to support fleet exercises, operations, and post-mission reconstruction and analysis for lessons learned.
You will independently plan projects, and carry out assignments, and make well studied and researched recommendations.
You will execute assessment processes, to evaluate programs via analysis and provide recommendations.
You will have the knowledge and ability to design and manage Commander Pacific Fleet participation in a number of studies which are typically broadly defined and often evolve greatly from inception to completion.
You will produce written products and presentations which are delivered to leadership.
