Job Description:

You will serve as a Supervisory Accountant in the Financial Management Division of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG SYSTEMS COMMAND PAC.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting and advising financial legislation, regulations, and policy; 2) Identifying, articulating, interpreting and solving complex financial problems, and applying financial rules and regulations; 3) Reviewing, analyzing, and auditing a wide variety of accounting and/or financial systems documentations required to prepare, validate and analyze financial statements, records, and reports; and 4) Creating reports from the official accounting system and download it to a usable format, and validate the output. You will interpret and implement financial management policies providing guidance to supervised employees and staff.
You will provide professional accounting advice and assistance on current and prior year funding availability.
You will provide management guidance on propriety based on Public Law, NAVFAC headquarters, Department of Navy and DoD Financial management regulations.
You will conduct reviews of unliquidated obligations, unmatched disbursements and reimbursable orders and inform management of deviations.
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust priorities and prepare schedules for completion of work.
