Job Description:
You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MIL) in the MANPOWER AND RESERVE AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting in providing information and services to families of unaccounted for Marines. You will manage and update contact information for survivors of unaccounted for Marines using the Defense Casualty Information Processing System
You will serve a records custodian, responsible for obtaining service records of unaccounted for Marines to support the identification of remains.
You will facilitate execution of funerals and memorial services for Marines previously unaccounted for from past wars.
You will arrange dependent travel for the families of Marine casualties to funerals, memorial services and government meetings sponsored by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency.
You will attend and support Marine Corps family members at government meetings sponsored by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency.
