Job Description:
You will serve as an ASSISTANT PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT in the PROGRAM MANAGEMENT/TEST DIVISION of the OCEAN ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of PSNS and IMF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, directing, and coordinating production work by managing resources and budgets to support ship system overhaul, repair, or modification projects for ensuring work completion in accordance with project schedules. You will act as consultant/advisor to all levels of shipyard management.
You will direct, supervise and coordinate production efforts in overhaul, repair, modification, installation and testing of all shipboard work for assigned project segment/s.
You will determine long and short-range needs for resources (manpower, materials, equipment, staff support).
You will develop new techniques, criteria and information involving the repair, maintenance or modification of equipment.
You will operate and test systems to ensure operational capabilities.
You will define workgroup activities and responsibilities and delegate authority to perform the work.
