Job Description:

You will serve as the EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF ORDNANCE OPERATIONS in N4 of NAVY MUNITIONS COMMAND, CONUS WEST DIV. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing ordnance logistical operations (e.g., receipt, storage, issue, maintenance, or transshipment) to ensure maximum utilization of resources for a Naval Fleet ordnance program. You will be responsible for the Navy Munitions Command Pacific CONUS West Division (NMCPAC CWD), West Coast Center for Fleet Ordnance Support Echelon III.
You will lead large, geographically dispersed organizations and manage multi-million-dollar programs in ordnance and complex logistics operations.
You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all technical and administrative functions of the Command.
You will be responsible with strategic planning, policy development, labor relations, and resource management to direct a diverse workforce of military, civilian, and contractor personnel.
You will provide technical expertise to Regional Command and services various systems Commands and other customers providing ordnance maintenance and other reimbursable support.
You will manage and oversee the subordinate Commands which service the assigned Pacific Fleet activities with ordnance requirements performing multifunctional activities.
You will be responsible for implementing the strategic vision, providing leadership for the Command, providing technical knowledge of the Command's workload and directing the Command's resources.
You will ensure that the Command provides quality and responsive logistics technical and material support to the fleet in the areas of FOS, including the receipt, segregation, storage, and issue (RSSI) of ordnance operations.
You will communicate with Senior Department of Defense officials, external stakeholders, and union representatives.
