Job Description:

This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI), State & Population Health Group (SPHG), Div of Multi-Payer Models (DMPM). As a IT Prog Mgr (DataMgt) (DataSci), GS-2210-13, you will provide analysis for decisions implementing Medicaid and Medicare health programs to guide healthcare financing, delivery, and costs, to help strengthen CMS administrative capacity.

AND In order to qualify for the GS-13 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: (1) Designing and implementing financial policies and methodologies to calculate alternative model payments and total cost of care targets by leveraging financial, utilization, and actuarial data; (2) Developing data monitoring strategies and coordinating the collection, analysis, and reporting of performance data to evaluate compliance with model targets and assess for negative unintended consequences; and (3) Collaborating with internal teams and contractors to develop public facing materials, webinars, educational and technical tools, and briefing documents for various audiences, including model participants, interested parties, and internal leadership Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Solve complex data management issues and problems systems issues for data interface, storage and data management applications.
Conduct the planning and administration of systems for the acquisition, storage, and retrieval of data.
Consult customers about the design and implementation of information systems to meeting business requirements of customer organizations.
Provide technical advice in the development and analysis of pilot initiatives and applications used to manage technology as it relates to CMS data.
Lead federal and contractor staff in planning and evaluating large scale and complex data management projects.
