Job Description:

You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the Ford-Class Launch & Recovery Division, ALRE Department of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DP-04 (equivalent to the GS-12/GS-13 level) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving as the authority and technical expert within the Ford Class Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) and Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch Systems (EMALS) controls portfolio that includes analytical evaluation and troubleshooting of complex systems, requirements development, modeling and simulation, control system design and development, verification testing of complex systems, air vehicle integration, Ford Class and foreign military carrier integration, and operational support to the fleet. 2) Providing engineering services and advice to the Fleet in support of installation, certification, control system monitoring, discrepancy resolution, modernization requirements, technical documentation, and developing specification/contract work statements. 3) Managing and leading projects involving multiple functional or discipline areas coordinating review and approval of technical activities within the EMALS and AAG programs. 4) Conducting extensive investigation and analysis of largely undefined factors and conditions to determine the nature and scope of problems and to devise solutions. 5) Effectively communicating to convince or settle matters involving significant or controversial issues as they apply to AAG and EMALS programs. You will analyze engineering project risks to develop solutions for system issues or malfunctions.
You will present reasoned arguments to defend a controversial or complex engineering or technical issues.
You will develop technical engineering solutions to mitigate or eliminate obstructions to engineering project completion.
You will evaluate research and development operations to determine the effectiveness of established procedures.
You will lead test and evaluation projects to validate adherence to technical specifications.
You will serve as the AAG and EMALS controls subject matter expert and lead all aspects of the AAG and EMALS controls system engineering design, analysis, and test.
