Job Description:

You will serve as a Training Instructor in the Surface Warfare Officers School Command, Newport, Rhode Island of SURFACE WARFARE OFFICERS SCHOOL.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing instructor led classroom and simulator training to all grades of U.S. Navy Surface Warfare Officers and Boatswains Mates in seamanship and ship handling subjects; 2) Assembling Course Reviews upon completion of each course using information compiled from student critiques, instructor evaluations, and command monitors; 3) Coordinating curriculum delivery and ensures instructor competency across multiple learning sites; 4) Reviewing policy decision and safety investigations/mishap reports affecting Navigation, Seamanship, and Ship handling for applicability, incorporate pertinent information into current course content, and brief instructors on revised content. You will independently develop, build, and integrate instructional tools for delivery throughout the Integrated Learning Environment (ILE)
You will be responsible for providing classroom and laboratory instruction as well as competence assessment to students regarding courses, as required.
You will appropriately guide in instructional techniques and competency assessment methods and practice involving the use of simulators.
