Job Description:

You will serve as a IT Specialist (PLCYPLN/INFOSEC) at the GG-14 grade level responible for all computer infrastructures including procurement and configuration of all IT systems.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. 1. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Responsibility for all command/organization computer infrastructures including procurement and configuration of all IT systems; 2) Supervising the life cycle management of all IT assets including the proper disposition of all computer hardware equipment; 3) Programming the command/organizations budget requirement and requesting higher echelon funding for unfunded special projects; 4) Overall responsibility for the programming, acquisition and installation of all IT equipment including associated hardware and software application systems; and, 5) Collaborating with various stakeholders including customers in the planning and execution of IT initiatives, and advises the leadership on resolving issues affecting timely completion of IT infrastucture projects. You will interpret, implement, and execute IC, DoD and DoN IT security policy and guidance.
You will lead Information Assurance Security Engineering (IASE) efforts in support of assessment and authorization (A and A) within the Naval IC Information Environment (IC IE).
You will apply new technologies and develops best practice security guidance to solve AIS security problems not covered by standard guidelines or policies.
You will utilize new technologies to support automated security testing for system assessment efforts and continuous monitoring requirements.
