Job Description:

You will serve as a Supervisory IT Specialist Technical Manager providing leadership, management, and direction for operations, information technology (IT) infrastructure/engineering, network architecture, and systems integration. You will supervise military and civilian personnel in performing critical IT capability development and implementation activities. This position is located within the Joint Mission Operations Center (JMOC) of US FLEET CYBER COMMAND in Wahiawa, Hawaii.
You must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. In addition to the four competencies above, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Perform information security measures to protect, manage, and carry out difficult and complex assignments, operations, and procedures on sensitive networks; Develop new methods of approach and procedural requirements for networking, systems administration, virtualization, and offensive cyberspace operations; Manage risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information or data; Generate hypotheses regarding future threat vectors and cyber tactics to perform evaluations of emergent technologies, network configurations, and user interface protocols. You will carry out full spectrum cyberspace operations through the integration of intelligence and network agility
You will provide supervisory and technical oversight of Joint Mission Operations Center (JMOC) responsibilities and platforms, including coordination of testing, evaluating, and piloting new capabilities.
You will manage large-scale, long-range programs that upgrade and deliver secure and reliable information services.
You will assess risk and vulnerabilities to information technology (IT) enterprise architecture and infrastructure, network systems, enclave boundaries, endpoint devices, and software applications.
You will ensure compliance with governing regulations, policies, and standards while identifying or developing new cost-effective security controls to mitigate risks.
