Job Description:
You will serve as an AIRCRAFT EXAMINER (PROGRESSMAN) in the EXAMINATION & EVALUATION BRANCH, WORKLOAD SCOPE DETERMINATION DIVISION, AND INDUSTRIAL EXECUTION DEPARTMENT of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. The incumbent will serve as a Progressman (Aircraft Examiner) and perform a variety of technical duties to assure aircraft maintenance work requirements are progressing properly. The duty location of this position is Kaneohe, Hawaii.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION; 1) Applying substantive knowledge of airframe structural, aircraft mechanical, pneudraulic, hydraulic, and/or electrical systems and their interrelationships; 2) Ensuring work documentation and maintenance books are created, catalogued, assigned and issued properly; 3) Progressing and analyzing work (all related equipment for rip out, replace and installation) and providing assessment for each work item progress, and preparing and submitting reports to convey data; 4) Reviewing repair/maintenance drawing requirements to identify maintenance work equipment in accordance with standards and trades practices; 5) Taking necessary action to reschedule jobs affected by schedule changes, and to ensure materials and tooling are available to accomplish the work. You will serve as a Progressman (Aircraft Examiner) and perform a variety of technical duties to assure aircraft maintenance work requirements in the assigned aircraft examiner shop are progressing as expeditiously as possible.
You will serve as the aircraft point of contact for production matters to the Integrated Production Team.
You will report detailed status of specific jobs to the supervisor, production line manager, and/or deputy IPT lead on a regular basis.
You will meet with the Aircraft Examiner Supervisor to coordinate manpower requirements in accordance with production priorities.
You will lead the work documentation team of contractors, Aircraft Data Technicians, and Aircraft Logs and Records.
You will review repair/maintenance drawing requirements to identify maintenance worthy equipment in accordance with standards and trades practices.
You will perform necessary liaison/coordination work within shop and with other supporting shops within the organization.
You will take necessary action to reschedule jobs affected by schedule changes and to ensure materials and tooling are available to accomplish the work.
