Job Description:
You will serve as a Physical Security Specialist in the Force Protection Division of NAVSUPACT MONTEREY SEC DET.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing threat assessments for personnel and assets which have anti-terrorism responsibilities; 2) Updating plans, manuals, and instructions to provide recommendations regarding changes to security specifications; 3) Conducting inspections of mission essential vulnerable assets, arms, ammunition, and explosive storage facilities and critical infrastructure; 4) Conducting classroom, formal, and informal training on crime prevention and physical security awareness programs; 5) Serving as a Loss Prevention Technical Specialist/ Security Advisor for the installation during meetings. This position has been designated as a Security Professional Educational Development (SPēD) position. A SPēD certification is required within 24 months of assuming the position and must be maintained through the entire length of appointment. You will analyze existing Antiterrorism/Force Protection plans to recommend new policy and counter measures.
You will conduct thorough evaluations of the organization's current Antiterrorism and Force Protection plans, identifying strengths and weaknesses.
You will collaborate with relevant stakeholders to recommend and develop new policies and countermeasures that align with evolving security threats and industry best practices.
You will evaluate the resource requirements for implementing the NSA Monterey Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Program.
You will conduct thorough risk assessments to identify security threats and vulnerabilities specific to the organization.
You will develop security and procedural countermeasures that are both effective and economically feasible, taking into consideration the organization's unique risk profile.
You will coordinate the command's security awareness and education program for command personnel.
You will prepare a Threat Matrix to show security and procedural countermeasures are economically designed to counter or mitigate threats or vulnerabilities.
