You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-15 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Serving as a technical authority on executive protection for Cabinet-level officials, including establishing policy and strategy for protective operations and security programs; AND Directing and overseeing all facets of protective service operations, including staffing, training, readiness, and operational execution of a protective detail; AND Coordinating and leading protective intelligence functions, ensuring integration of intelligence into operational planning and threat mitigation; AND Providing leadership and supervision over subordinate managers, including oversight of preparedness for executive protection of high-level officials.; AND Executing supervisory responsibilities for subordinate staff and managers, including time and attendance certification, mandatory training compliance, performance management, and employee development, as well as addressing conduct and discipline matters in accordance with agency policy. Specialized Experience: For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Supervising or leading protective service operations in support of a Cabinet-level Secretary or equivalent high-level official, including serving as a technical leader for subordinates; AND Conducting and directing protective intelligence investigations involving threats against senior officials, ensuring results inform operational security decisions; AND Advising senior executives and high-level officials on the outcomes of security investigations; AND Managing and overseeing core security program functions, including human resources coordination, in addition to detail-related operational requirements. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. As a Supervisory Physical Security Specialist, you will: -Manage and direct the security and protection services for the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and the Deputy Secretary. -Serve as a technical expert and directs the development, implementation, and operation of a program to protect and ensure the safety and security of the Secretary, Deputy Secretary, visiting dignitaries, or others from an entire spectrum of threats. -Lead and direct crisis management planning, execution, and other emergency situations. -Provide planning advice and recommendations on new policy, resolution of complex vulnerabilities, crisis management, and threat response. -Oversee the Protective Services detail in conducting advance protection surveys for individuals who, because of their position, are vital to the continuity of U.S. Government and to national security.
