To qualify for a Data Scientist (Artificial Intelligence Risk), your resume and supporting documentation must support: A Degree: Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position. B: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-15 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Identifies methods, processes, algorithms, tools, and systems to extract and interpret varied structured an unstructured data sets findings related to the execution of data science and artificial intelligence program in developing and implementing responsible AI ethics reporting methods ensuring the agency's organizations follow ethical AI principals. Provides implementation program oversight, advice, and recommendations in designing the implementation of responsible AI adoption strategy, measuring, reporting, and communicating results through senior leaders. Collaborates and coordinates AI implementation program activities with the AIO in ensuring AI promotion, innovation, and risk management adhere to agency's AI governance, ethics, reporting, and inventory requirements. Recommends significant strategic program and policy issues and is responsible for management of all Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs) and keeping implementation effects on schedule and synchronized across the organization. C. Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience. D. Education: Applicants may not qualify for this position based on education in lieu of specialized experience Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Serves as the J6D AI risk management DLA technical lead ensures responsible AI is strategically operational within DLA and adheres to Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Presidential Executive Orders (EOs), legislation, laws and regulations.
Implements DLA and DoD AI guidance ensuring responsible AI for AI Acquisition, development, and deployment within DLA organizations.
Evaluates algorithms and tools to support AI data manipulation, processing, and application of fact-finding and investigative techniques in establishing and executing implementation procedure for planning, coordination...
...monitoring, and ensuring inclusion of DLA customers’ requirements for mission objectives.
Serves as the authoritative subject matter expert (SME) for decisions and guidance dealing with compromises and changes in implementation program philosophy, focus, or objectives.
Directs and monitors effective resource utilization consistent with established budget and recommends or initiates action to align resources.
Determines gaps in DLA’s AI risk management and responsible AI program areas and develops corrective action plans and applies forward thinking leadership in promoting and implementing a vision that fosters advancement and excellence.
Coordinates and integrates AI into strategic planning initiatives and program requirements with management.
Prepares and provides briefings to senior leadership within the Agency and to external audiences, as required.
