This position is located at the Magrath Pool within the Magrath Sports Complex. This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resilience and well-being of Soldiers and Families. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will NOT be paid.

A qualified candidate must possess (or in the process of obtaining) the following: Lifeguard certification (American Red Cross or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Star Guard or Ellis), AND American Red Cross "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional" or CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent certification (i.e. Star Guard or Ellis), AND First Aid certification, AND experience providing customer service to others PLEASE NOTE: Your resume & application package must reflect the qualifications stated in the announcement and questionnaire to be rated eligible.
Performs life guarding duties and employs safety rules for the protection of the pool guests.
Responsible for assisting in the conduct of aquatic swimming and water survival training.
Assists with scheduling of staff and programs, tracking inventory and ordering supplies.
Assists in maintaining pool and area clean and free from any hazards.
Assists in coaching or preparing the competitive and non-competitive swimming programs as required.
