This position is located at Pine Plains Bowling Center. This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resilience and well-being of Soldiers and Families. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will NOT be paid.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: experience maintaining, adjusting and repairing a variety of bowling equipment having mechanical, electrical and electronic parts, components and assemblies, AND ability to use standard electrical test equipment, such as voltmeters, ohmmeters continuity testers, and test lamps, AND knowledge of repairs such as soldering loose connections, burnishing contact points, splicing, insulating exposed wires, replacing defective printed circuit boards, AND knowledge of the basics of electrical principals and the operating characteristics of electronic components. Maintains, adjusts, and repairs a variety of bowling equipment having mechanical, electrical and electronic parts, components and assemblies.
Typical equipment services includes automatic pin placing machines, automatic scorers, ball returns, telescore and telefoul units, ball drilling machines, pin finders, lane maintenance machines, supervisor for timeliness.
Diagnoses equipment malfunctions, but referring to manufacturer's diagrams and specifications, schematics, and wiring diagrams using test equipment such as continuity testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters and feeler gages.
Conducts operational checks, visually checking for worn or damaged parts, traces wiring, disassembles, and makes necessary adjustments, repairs or replaces defective parts, cleans, lubricates, and reassembles the equipment.
Makes such repairs and adjustments as re-timing cams and gears; measuring and regulating the sweep of rakes; replacing broken or worn pins, rods, brushes, bolts, belts, tension springs; filing contact points; and cleaning and lubricating parts.
