About the Position: This is a Clinical Psychologist (Behavioral Health) position with Behavioral Health, Psychology Services at Guthrie Army Health Clinic, Fort Drum, New York. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Salary negotiation MAY be available for those candidates who are new to Federal Service. Student loan repayment MAY be authorized.

Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist (Behavioral Health) Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting behavioral health assessments; providing individual and group treatment; and working as part of a multidisciplinary team. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). License: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently from a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Apply biopsychosocial evaluations to propose behavioral health interventions.
Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches.
Provide primary care providers and staff regular and concise feedback on the status of referred patients, to include recommendations for team-based care.
Implement psychoeducational classes to target high frequency diagnoses found in the primary care clinic.
Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters.
