Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Basic Requirement for Lead NEPA Biologist: A. Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR B. Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents such as Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), Environmental Assessments (EA), Notices of Intent (NOI), Findings of No Significant Impact (FNSI), and Records of Decision (ROD); coordinating with project managers and project delivery team members; ensuring regulatory compliance and coordinating with regulatory agencies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
Serves as the Army expert in National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) analysis and environmental compliance for South Pacific Border District.
Serves as the principal subject area expert to execute, design, implement, oversee, troubleshoot, and expedite implementation of a nationwide program for compliance and consistency with laws, regulations, treaties, and Army expectations.
Executes special high visibility, sensitive NEPA and environmental programs.
As Team Leader, the incumbent monitors and evaluates performance and assures fulfillment of functional responsibilities and compliance with established policy and procedures.
