Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) interpreting and applying laws, regulations and policies associated with federal real estate acquisitions, management and disposals; 2) participating in technical teams in the review of real estate actions or allocating funds; AND 3) explaining real estate programs and strategies to senior leadership to include making recommendations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
Serves as the Real Estate Program Manager for the Southern Border organization, responsible for all management, control, development, coordination and execution of the program.
Manages the border mission real estate program and performs work involving project milestones and budgets.
Serves as a technical advisor on the border mission real estate matters, providing assistance in the preparation of reports, and other decision documents relative to the planning, development and execution of projects and program activities.
Serves as an expert on real estate policy matters in conference with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) higher authority, other agencies and various state and local officials.
As a senior member of staff, serves as mentor and technical resource to other Real Estate divisions across USACE. Provides training and guidance to staff as appropriate.
