Job Description:

This position is located at Departmental Offices, within the Management CFO - Treasury Operations. As an Maintenance and Operations General Foreman, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing a variety of related work operations or functions through one or more layers of supervision and two or more separate organizational segments, groups or work shifts for all operating systems.
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. You must meet the screen-out element, the Ability to Supervise through Subordinate Supervisors, normally addressed at the beginning of the online questions. In addition, you must also obtain an average score of two (2) for the following elements for this position as addressed through the online question in order to be considered minimally qualified. As a Maintenance and Operations General Foreman, you will: Independently plan and schedule work assignments on a long-range basis (i.e., at least annually) for accomplishment by the units supervised by others, within schedules and priorities established by the incumbent with input from other management officials. Provide information and advice to higher level management (and to staff organizations) on such matters as ability to accomplish work assignments as scheduled, budget estimates, changes in production techniques and standards, rearrangement of machinery, or other changes in facilities. Establish a good working climate to encourage employees to participate in achieving management goals, and to promote efficient and economical work operations. Assign and explain work requirements to subordinate levels of supervision, set deadlines and sequence of operations, direct rearrangement of space and sequence of operations, direct rearrangement of space and development of specialized tools and equipment as necessary.
