As a Deputy Chief, you will provide senior level leadership in a collaborative and stakeholder-focused manner to serve our customers and improve facilities management and real property management efficiencies that align with the overall vision, goals, and initiatives of the agency.

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. GS-15: You qualify at the GS-15 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Leading subordinate staff engaged in facilities management and resource management matters. Conducting short and long-range planning of space requirements for a large agency or organization. Identifying the impact and implications of sensitive decisions on various programs or organizations. Developing and implementing policy as it relates to real property management and facilities management. Organizational Location: This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Management Directorate, within one of the Office of Administration locations and assigned based on the agency need.
Directs the facilities management and real property programs and activities involving facilities throughout the nation.
Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates activities of reporting branches of the division.
In coordination with the Chief, directs and oversees all resource functions of the program office to include financial operations, training, communications, and strategic planning.
Serves as a principal advisor to agency leadership on all matters related to real property.
Develops both short- and long-range programs to house new and/or expanded function areas through knowledge of anticipated growth with the agency.
