About the Position: You will be responsible for managing the efficient and effective coordination and accomplishment of the planning, scope, design, construction, and direction of military, environmental, and civil works projects.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Managing environmental, military, civil works or other construction/facilities related projects; Coordinating with multiple parties to ensure execution of assigned projects; Controlling project milestones and budgets from project development (programming) through construction completion. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
Serve as Project Manager, responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned programs and projects.
Coordinate the planning, design, cost engineering, construction, and environmental considerations for very complex projects measured by their diversity, geographical area, management demands, technical and public/regulatory issues.
Control and manage project milestones and budgets from project development (programming) through construction completion.
Responsible for the development of all required customer and USACE agreements, leading the negotiation of such agreements on the part of USACE.
Forecast schedule, budget, manpower, or quality problems and ensure proper resolution of contracting issues raised.
