Job Description:
This position is located at Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Fund in Detroit Arsenal, MI. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will be paid. Recruitment incentive or bonus in the amount of $2,000 is authorized. Retention incentive of up to $3,000 is authorized at the end of the first year. Employee must be in good standing through the first full year of employment.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Specialized IT experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training or IT certification which demonstrates skill in applying: Principles and methods for integrating information systems components; Performance tuning tools and techniques; System diagnostic tool and fault identification techniques; Systems administration methods; Participating in the planning and delivery of a full range of IT customer support services; Installing, configuring, upgrading and trouble shooting hardware and software components; Presenting formal and informal training and assistance to customers; Reporting, responding to, and resolving customer requests; and IT security principles. OR Completion of a master's degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems management, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours as indicated above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks. In addition, candidates must demonstrate IT-related experience which addresses the following four competencies: 1. Attention to detail - Such as implementing quality control procedures and conducting compliance reviews. 2. Customer service - Such as providing assistance to both internal and external customers; assessing customers' needs, meeting quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction. 3. Verbal communication - Such as conducting formal presentations or training to audiences at varying levels of hierarchy and technical expertise. 4. Demonstrated problem-solving skills - Such as identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Under general supervision, performs routine and recurring assignments in the delivery of Information Technology customer support services.
Participates in the planning and delivery of a full range of Information Technology customer support services to the organization, including system hardware/software installations, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Provides analysis and implements suitable measures for hardware/software requirements and problem resolution. Prepares and updates manuals, instructions, and operating procedures, ensuring optimal functionality and operability of systems.
Reports, responds to, and resolves customer requests. Interprets IT policies, standards, and guidelines and applies information security and information assurance policy, principles, and practices in the delivery of all services.
Performs other duties as assigned.
