To qualify for GS-14, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13. This is a non-bargaining unit position. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Specialized experience must include all of the following: Applying knowledge of criminal investigations policy, procedures, and investigative techniques. Maintaining liaison and collaborative working relationships with federal, state, and local law enforcement counterparts as well as other directorates. Performing complex, in-depth studies and directing and coordinating working group that cross multi-functionalities on criminal enforcement. Identifying potential high-risk investigations that may be eligible for Monitored Case Program (MCP) submission. Interpreting, developing, analyzing, and evaluating issues and problems in the MCP. This position is located under the Office of Field Operations, Field Management Staff, Frontline Investigative Support Branch, located in Washington, DC. Your duties will include: Performing the functions of the Monitored Case Program (MCP) to facilitate the prompt identification of investigations that have the potential to pose significant risk to the organization or public safety. Conducts proactive efforts in identifying potential high-risk investigations that may be eligible for MCP submission. Manages programs and projects that require a diverse mix of functions to resolve the most complex, sensitive, and controversial issues and problems. Develops new and innovative ways for improving operations and program effectiveness. Principal ATF spokesperson and point of contact regarding the assigned program or function. .
