Experience: You qualify for the GS-07 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Assisting with ordering, receiving, inventorying, transferring, and excessing fleet vehicles, as well as scheduling repairs. Running various reports to update and provide updated information for the Agency Preparing local records management and assisting with producing various fleet report Assisting with the coordination of facilities repairs and enters facility repairs requests into facilities management system. Experience: You qualify for the GS-09 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Gathering necessary information and preparing briefing materials for supervisors or other senior management officials. Running various reports, updating and providing updated information for the Agency's internal Table Organization (TO) tracker, monitoring tickler reports, and staffing table. Coordinating facility repairs and ensures that requests for such are recorded into the facilities management system Providing assistance with the local agency's fleet card program to include ordering cards, performing audits, extracting reports, reconciling invoices, reporting fraud and processing override requests. Education Substitution GS-07: Successful completion of one year of full-time graduate education from an accredited college or university may substitute for the experience required at this level. This education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. Check with your school to determine how many credit hours comprise a year of graduate education. If that information is not available, use 18 semester or 27 quarter hours. OR A bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) may also substitute for the experience required. It is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average (i.e., GPA 3.0 or higher of a possible 4.0, excluding pass/fail credits. Education Substitution GS09: Successful completion of two or more years of full-time graduate education or a Master's (or higher) degree from an accredited college or university or an LL.B. or J.D that demonstrates the skills necessary to do the work. Combining Experience and Education: To combine your education and experience, you must convert each to a percentage and then add the percentages. The combined total of your percentage of education and experience must equal at least 100% in order to qualify. If your education is currently described in quarter hours, convert the quarter hours into semester hours by multiplying the quarter hours by the fraction 2/3. To calculate your percentage of graduate education, divide the number of graduate semester hours by 18. To determine your percentage of qualifying experience, you must divide your total number of months of qualifying experience by the required number of months of experience. As a Mission Support Specialist (Generalist) you will plan and carry out a wide variety of administrative, management and program planning activities, policy research and other duties related to the missions and functions of the Mission Readiness Operations Division in a sector of the United States Border Patrol (USBP), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This position starts at a salary of $49,960.00 (GS-7, Step 1) to $79,443.00 (GS-9, Step 10). Major duties Include: Providing direct advice and guidance to USBP employees at headquarters and throughout the sectors, and developing new or modified administrative program work methods, approaches, or procedures for delivering effective customer services. Preparing reports with data from internal data sources as well as Agency automated systems for regular and one-time informational needs by senior managers. Preparing and conducting the agency's invoice reconciliation process; preparing local records management and assisting with producing various fleet reports.
