Job Description:
You will serve as a Lead Integrated Product Support (ILS) Specialist in the Surveillance Radar Division of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This is a Capped position; salary may be limited to a GS-13, Step 10 (currently $139,036). The Secretary of War has ordered a hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoW hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing statistical data and applying principles of reliability, systems, and maintenance engineering; conducting maintenance and performance assessments, performing market research to define requirements, and recommending technical solutions to critical design problems; analyzing logistics data to make data-driven recommendations for integrated product support. You will coordinate and direct a multidisciplinary team of engineers and logisticians to provide full-spectrum support for complex surveillance radar systems.
You will analyze supportability needs and processes to develop comprehensive requirements for surveillance radar systems and create acquisition strategies and sustainment plans focused on achieving total life-cycle support goals.
You will review reliability data and deficiency reports to identify equipment problems and the need for modifications.
You will analyze proposed system changes to assess their effects on performance, reliability, and life-cycle costs.
You will build and maintain collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, including the fleet, Program Executive Offices (PEOs), and other enterprise partners.
You will assist the Branch Manager with administrative and financial tasks, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures and serve as a technical management point for contracted services.
You will ensure the engineering accuracy of technical documentation and provide engineering inputs for procurement specifications and maintain rigor, quality, and efficiency through routine quality assessments and process improvement efforts.
