About the Position: This position is located at Eielson Air Force Base, Fairbanks, Alaska. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing performance improvement or risk management mitigation projects, analyzing or reporting data on clinical outcomes, and maintaining a hospital credentialing program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. [remove LL.M., if unrelated] with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Manage the Performance Improvement Program for the medical group.
Develop objectives that integrate performance improvement and risk management for the medical facility.
Disseminate performance improvement information with statistical analysis and comparative processes to facility staff.
Provide data relating to clinical outcomes by managing the clinical event database.
Provide senior clinical supervisors with detailed reports as well as aggregated data pertaining to healthcare providers assigned.
Manage the Risk Management program.
Manage accreditation and compliance programs for the medical group.
Administer and maintain the database for the Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System.
